“Okay,” the ref began, “Since we have new people, I want to go over the rules. Rule number one, this is an honor sport, call your own hits. One hit and you’re out. Anywhere on your gear or body is a hit. This includes wings and tails for all you dragons. I never thought I would say that, but now I guess I do. If it hits your weapon, it’s out. If you have a pistol, you can use that. Rule number two, there is a twenty foot safety kill range. If you get too close, call safety kill and it counts as a hit. If your weapon shoots over four eighty fps, then it has a forty foot safety kill range. This is a sniper rule. Rule number three, be polite. This is not the place for to go shooting your mouth off. You cause too many problems, you will be asked to leave and you will not get your money back. You’re all here to have fun, so let’s all act like people and not douche bags. Now, let’s re-shuffle the teams and get to playing some airsoft.”

“At lasssst,” Wyraach grumbled, “We get to sssshoot people.”

“Team captains are you and you.” The ref said and he pointed out Mahoney and Wyraach,

“Cool, team captain.” Wyraach said as he walked over to one side while Mahoney took the opposite side.

“You pickin’ first or me?” asked Mahoney.

“You can go if you like.” Wyraach said .

“Sure,” he replied, “Come on Lurch.”

“I will pick,” Wyraach said as he eyed the people in front of him, “Sssscales.”

“You grabbed the minigunner, nice.” Mahoney said, “Sam, get over here.”

“You got it.” Sam said with a smile, she liked being on the team with both Mahoney and Lurch.

“A ssssniper huh?” Wyraach said, “I guess I’ll need one too, Jake.”

Jake didn’t say anything, but he took his spot on his team’s side.

“I think I’ll mix things up a bit,” Mahoney smirked, “You, what did they call you? Rouge Element? Get over here.”

“On my way.” Ian said as he walked over to Mahoney’s team.

“Well therrre goesss my team idea.” Wyraach said, “I guessssss I’ll do the same. You, in the tan, you’rrrre with me.”

Wyraach pointed right at Pat.

“I don’t care as long as I get to shoot people.” Pat said as he walked over to Wyraach’s team.

“That we’ll do.” Wyraach said with a grin.

“Two can play that game.” Mahoney said, “Red and gray, you’re with us.”

Arcade toddled over to his team.

“Very nice,” Wyraach said, that grin not leaving his face, “Farrrm, overrr herrre.”

“Okay then.” I said as I walked over.

“I pick Jason.” Mahoney said

“You in the digital.” Wyraach said while pointing at Grazel.

“James.” Mahoney fired back.

“Big guy.” said Wyraach as he stared right at Fridgebox.

This went on for a while. Will was called by Mahoney. Wyraach countered with Lucas. The next move was Mark being grabbed by Mahoney and Wyraach grabbing Matt. This was standard airsoft team picking chess. Each team captain had to pick the best team he could while to opposing team captain did the same. It was a rush to not only get the best team, but to grab the team that could work together and was suited to the opposing team’s weaknesses. Once it was all said and done, the teams stood at Wyraach, Scales, Jake, Pat, me, Grazel, Fridgebox, Lucas, Austin, Mark, Rubin and his two lackeys vs. Mahoney, Lurch, Sam, Ian, Arcade, Jason, James, Will, Matt, Bill, Zack and Fred. Thirteen on twelve, not too shabby and this was just game number two.

“Okay, you guys start in the woods, you guys get the base.” The ref directed us. “Put on goggles when you are over here for all of you who don’t know that already.”

I already had my goggles down, but a few people didn’t. I sometime raise them to clear out fog, but most of the time they don’t fog bad enough to do that to me. We all made sure our goggles and face masks were tight and sealed. It was good to check and make sure.

We started in the woods, that was a lucky break for us. If Sam had started in the woods, it would mean trouble.

“I can’t believe I’m on the same team as you scaly freaks and you busted up my team.” Austin grumbled as we walked to the start point.

“I grrrabbed the bessst people I could think of,” Wyraach said indifferently, “And you arrre farrr below my ssstandarrrrdsss anyway. We’rrre ssstuck with eachotherrrr, get usssed to it and concentrrrrate on winning.”

“Like I can trust you monsters to watch my back.” Austin said, continuing to be his normal a**hole self.

“Call me that again and they won’t know wherrrre to begin to sssscoop you up.” Wyraach snarled, whipping around to get right in Austin’s face.

Austin seemed to shrink as this 8’ black and crimson dragon leaned down to be inches from his face.

“I thought you’d sssee it my way.” Wyraach said with satisfaction as he turned back around and continued to walk towards the start point.

I must admit, it was nice to Austin put into his place and even better that it was Wyraach that did it. It wasn’t long before we were all just waiting for the go. Scales hefted the minigun forward. It settled with a long series of metal clicks. That thing is wicked. Jake fell back to the back of the group and prepared to move right to provide sniper cover from the tree line.

“Where you headed Farm?” asked Pat.

“I think I’ll head left and try to get across the creek to get a flank.” I replied, thinking of the best solution to this mess.

“I’ll come with you then,” he said back, “you need backup for that run.”

“Thanks.” I said with a smile, “I do believe so.”

“I’ll take middle.” Wyraach said very confidently, “That’sss wherrre therrre will be the mossst enemiesss.”

“You’re right about that.” Grazel said, “that’s where I’m going.”

“Right behind you Graz.” said Fridgebox

“You guys have fun with that then.” I told them as Pat and I moved to the back of the pack.

When we heard the ref yell,

“THREE! TWO! ONE! GO!”

The sound was intense. The guns rattling, the tac gear shifting, the heavy foot falls on the dirt as we all took off down our routes. It wasn’t long before we all got to hear the minigun open up. I came up on the left side’s farthest bunker, just next to the path across the creek to the far left side, when I saw Scales lying down heavy cover fire. He had that gun roaring out rounds and fifty rounds per second. The enemy team scrabbled into any cover they had. A sandbag bunker and the far side of the field was a perfect spot to counter snipe the center and Sam was dug in. All she needed was a clean shot on Scales and he would be out. Wyraach saw this too and set up to put fire on that sandbag bunker to hold her down. Pat and I came under fire from Arcade and James. I bolted across the dry creek bed as fast as I could. I made it and put fire on them to let Pat cross. Once we made it, we moved up on the extreme left flank. At the time the Trench field was loosely a part of the Vietnam field so we crossed wide to stay out of range. Matt and Bill were waiting for just such a maneuver and were in the trenches waiting for us. I heard the shots, fell on the dirt and rolled into a trench. Pat ducked back into the tree line. I could see just the top of their heads and the barrels of their weapons, but I no clean shot, there was too much long grass in the way. My only hope was to get their attention and Pat could take them out. I looked at Pat and gave him a nod, he nodded back and that’s all we needed to do. I hopped to my feet and roadie ran down the trench away from Pat. All the noise and movement draws people’s attention like magnet. I’m a fast runner so I could stay ahead of the BBs and that would give me the advantage. Pat tracked the locations and rained BBs on them without mercy. When I heard the two “hit”s, I stopped to look and sure enough, Matt and Bill were out.  I was about half way down the trench and in the middle of the field when Pat came over to me.

“Nice idea.” He said.

“I just made it up on the spot.” I replied.

“Seat of your pants tactics man,” He said with a smirk, “You’re good at them.”

“Thanks.” I smiled back, “Now we’ve got even more problems.”

“You got a plan?” Pat questioned

“If we can set up on the far side,” I started, “We’ll have a line of sight right down the path into the other start zone. We’ll have the drop on their exposed backs while they fight the guys in the center.”

“Let’s go then.” He said with a grin.

We crawled through the tall grass to make sure nobody saw us, slow and steady. The sounds of battle raged to our right. The minigun was silent so Scales had to have been hit. The distinctive sounds of Tactical Tupperware and Sam’s G33E were still in the fight.

“Go Rrrrright!” Wyraach yelled.

“They’re on the ridge.” Mahoney shouted.

“HIT!” screamed Mark.

“I hit you Rubin!” Sam shouted, she was mad.

“No you didn’t!” He shouted back.

“You can’t shoot, you’re a girl.” Austin yelled while firing that worthless piece of crap MP5 he had. The thing sounded like it was in pain every time he pulled the trigger. It probably was will the amount of negligence he treats it with.

Sam let her weapon to the talking for her. I could tell when her rifle was fired, it had a sound all its own. I heard a long stream of rounds come from her rifle and then high pitched screaming.

“MY BALLS!” Austin managed to scream out among the other sounds he made.

“Nice shot Sam.” Lurch congratulated while he joined in the fun.

“You’re out.” The ref said.

“No I’m not!” Rubin shouted, “Why do people keep thinking I’m hit? I can’t feel anything.”

“That’s right, you can’t.” Will yelled as he fired again.

“I saw it hit you, you are out. The ref said again, “This is the last warning. If I have to call another hit for you, it’s the last one.”

“This is F****** ridiculous!” Rubin yelled.

I was happy to hear them get what they disserved, but I was sad because they were on my team. Here I was crawling through the grass with Pat, actually doing something tactical and all they could do was cheat to win. We got to the point we needed to be and there was the enemy team, all facing the center. They weren’t aware that we had sneaked our way right up next to them. They were still about one hundred feet away, but we had the drop on them. Without making too much noise, we continued to crawl right for them, but we didn’t get a chance to spring our elaborate trap. Wyraach had pushed his forces hard up the middle, right into the meat grinder, himself, Lucas, Grazel and Fridgebox all stormed the defensive line and started scouring kills left and right. Sam got dropped in the cross fire as she tried to fall back out of her bunker. Lurch held them back for a bit then he got tagged. James and Will held at the bunker closest to us, but they both got tagged by somebody else. Arcade was behind a tree but a shot hit him in the arm and he was out. Mahoney tried for a rally and grabbed Element, Zack and Fred and made a run for it. The problem was that it was a run to the Trench field and we had just gotten within range of the wood line path opening to the trench field. As soon as it was too late for them to fall back, Pat and me opened up on full auto and cut them all down in succession. A pistol shot rang out and a hail storm of automatic fire followed and Jason was out.

“GAME OVER!” the ref yelled.

The death toll was high for our side. Of Wyraach’s storming team, only he and Grazel made it out alive. Jake walked out of the far tree line as Pat and I walked onto base’s wooded area. It appeared he had just stayed in the back sniping the whole game. The survivors were Grazel, Jake, Pat, Wyraach and myself. It was a victory, but a hard fought one and I had a feeling it had more then it’s share of problems. We all walked out and my fears were confirmed when then ref called us all over to talk. That’s not ever a good thing.

“I’ll have to tell you guys again since it didn’t seem to sink in the first time.” he said, his face was full of frustration, “Call your hits. I saw way too many of you not calling hits out there and I will not tolerate this.”

“I called my hits.” Austin said, trying to cover his butt.

“No you didn’t.” The ref told him as he glared at Austin, “You didn’t call hit till you were nailed in the balls. I saw other rounds hit you in the arm and mask. You didn’t call hit on them, you kept playing. I see that again and you are banned from here and the same goes for you Rubin.”

“I wasn’t hit.” Rubin said gruffly, he even had the gall to stick his chin up.

“You worrrthlesssss piecesss of rrrubbisssh.” Wyraach snarled as he bore down on the two cheaters and their cronies, “Don’t think I didn’t ssssee what you werrre doing and I fully intended to talk you about it. The rrref herrre jussst beat me too it.”

Wyraach towered over them as they cowered in the face of the very angry black dragon. There seemed to be fire in Wyraach’s eyes as he stared them down.

“Why do you have to rrrruin the fun of otherrrrssss to make yourrrrssselvesss feel betterrrr?” Wyraach continued to berate them with all his fury, “Isss it becaussse you feel like you can get away with it orrr isss it becaussse yourrr tiny male orrrgansss need all the boossssting you can give them? I sssee you cheat again and I will kick you out myssself and that isss not a figurrre of ssspeech.”

“Calm down, I think they got the message.” I said as I patted him on the shoulder.

“Why can’t we all have fun?” Wyraach asked, “It’sss what I came herrre to do.”

“We will have fun man, just take a breath and relax. I really think they won’t cheat anymore.” I told him as I tried to avoid anything unpleasant.

“I need a drrrink.” Wyraach replied as he walked to the trailers.

I just let him go and I hoped a Gatorade would do the job.

“I think that makes my point.” The ref said, “No more cheating.”

We all just nodded and went back to our respective places to reload. I could tell where Wyraach was coming from, he didn’t like cheaters just as much as we did. To have them on your team looks bad. Any victory you get looks like a dirty victory, even if you fought hard to win a clean one. I felt the same way about that victory, its games like that one that make the whole thing feel wrong. I hoped that the message was now firmly planted in their heads and we could all play fair. We had to get ready for another game and pick up the pieces to make this day fun again. I was loading my M16 mags when Arcade came over.

“What is those guy’s problems?” he asked.

“They’re just douches.” I told him, not really wanting to go into any detail.

“I hit Austin, but he didn’t call it.” Arcade said in a huff, “I got Mark and one of the fat man’s lackeys, but when I went for Austin, he didn’t call hit.”

“He believes that you are not skilled enough to kill him.” I said as I still concentrated on loading.

“That’s stupid,” Arcade said with a growl, “A hit is a hit.”

“Herrrre’sss hoping he getsss tosssssed out.” Wyraach said as he walked up us, holding a red Gatorade.

“Indeed.” Scales said as he join the group. “Your sister is a nice shot by the way.”

“I know.” I replied while putting may mags back in their pouches, “How many did you guys get?”

“I got three.” Arcade said. “I hit Austin, so I’m counting him.

“I got fourrr.” Wyraach said proudly, “I scored a nice shot on you Arcade.”

Arcade just let out a huff as Wyraach continued to be pleased with his successful storming of a defensive line.

“I did cover fire, but I don’t think I hit anyone.” Scales said.

“The job of cover fire is to keep heads down Scales.” I told him.

“I know that, I was out of range anyway.” He said with a shrug.

“Let’s see, I think I got two.” I said, “Pat did better then I did. All I think I tagged was you Element and maybe one of the rental gun kids, Zack I think.”

“So you were hiding in the grass.” Ian said as he pointed at me, “I saw you go to that side, but thought you had been taken out.”

“Nope, Pat and I cleaned house and moved up on you guys.” I replied with a smug grin.

“You prick.” Ian said with a very frustrated look on his muzzle.

“I think you did a good job.” Mahoney said as he joined in the conversation, “I didn’t see it coming.”

“Tricks like that work once, then you got to come up with something new.” I replied.

“Tell me about it.” Wyraach grumbled, “It wasss harrrd to get thossse guysss to move up, They all jussst huddled in theirrr coverrr.”

“Its tough to lead, but lead by example man.” I told him.

“I know that and I did.” Wyraach said back at me, “I took the hill didn’t I?”

“You did and you survived it.” I said, trying to make my point, “I do give you credit for that, but I’m just telling you that these guys know their business, they aren’t dumb.”

“I ssstill want them to do asss I tell them.” Wyraach said, still fuming a little.

“They will if you ask not order.” I replied, “You said it yourself, we are here to have fun. Have fun and you’ll find things go a lot smoother.”

“Farm’s right,” Ian said, “Just relax and work with other people that you know.”

“New people just don’t have an idea of what you want them to do yet.” Jake said, I didn’t notice that he had walked up.

“I’ll trrry it you guy’sss way.” Wyraach said as he checked his mags to make sure they were loaded, “I’m ssstill not having fun yet.”

“I think your about to.” I said with a big draconic smile.

I was looking at a line of awesome coming down the road and it took the form of John’s group. The Battle Wagon, Kramer’s Silver Evo and Jake’s red Pontiac Vibe were all coming down the Bing field’s parking road. This was now a very good day.

“Who arrre thossse guysss?” Wyraach asked.

“They are the Admin team of 6mmwarfare.” I said with that smile not budging from my scaly lips, “They are some of the best airsofters in the area and they always play fair.”

“That’s good news.” Scales said, his face also was lit up in a smile at those words.

“Are they good guys?” Jake asked cautiously.

“You kidding?” I said, surprised at this, “They are awesome guys. They run Storming the Farm and that is an awesome OP. They are friendly and very generous. I think you guys will get along great with them.”

“Well then lets go over and say hello then.” Arcade said as he started to walk off towards them.

I could see John get out of his van and Ryan hopped out the other side of the van. Kramer and Mackey got out of the Evo and Jake and Sparks got out of the Vibe. John had his black hair spiked as usual and Ryan looked like always, a big guy with black hair and warm smile on his face. Kramer’s reddish brown hair was all I needed to see to know it was him and Mackey I hadn’t seen in a very long time. Mackey is a tall portly dude with black hair. He doesn’t wear camo, just blue jeans and a brown T-shirt. Jake looked like he did at Storming the Farm, same old black hat and everything. Mark, better know you us as Sparks, was in his Emo, but not Emo self. He looks Emo two his skater hat and short, but too short black hair and piercing. I like Sparks, he’s cool. They were all in their team uniform of MARPAT camo and OD green combat gear. The plate carriers all matched, and so did most of the other stuff they had. They operated like a team and if you wanted to stand a chance, you needed to as well. Arcade walked right over to them.

“Hey Farm, nice gear.” John said to Arcade, clearly mistaking him for me.

“Yeah, I don’t remember your gear set up like that.” Jake said.

“Um, I think you have me confused with Farm.” Arcade said, “He’s over there finishing loading up.” he pointed back at me and I made a little wave, “I’m Jeremy.”

It was then I guess they saw the group of dragons I was in and realized a completely new dragon was standing in front of them.

“Oh, well my mistake then, sorry about that.” John said as he collected himself. He did look a bit shaken though.

“Its fine.” Arcade said with a shrug, “You thought there was only one dragon that played airsoft and you thought I was him.”

“You guys kinda do look a lot alike at first glance with the Multicam and all.” Kramer said, “But then I notice the horns and the spikes running down your tail.”

“We are similar in appearance I guess.” Arcade said with a smirk.

“So, you’re a dragon too. I guess this is starting to become less of a rarity considering that we thought Farm was the only one.” Jake said as he looked at the collection of dragons in the area.

“I don’t know how many dragons there are, but right now, we are all that I’m aware of.” Arcade said.

I finished up reloading and walked over to say hi.

“Hi guys.”

“Hi Farm,” John said, “How’s the games?”

“Pretty good,” I answered him, “could be better if Austin and Rubin weren’t here.”

“Oh God, not them.” Jake groaned, “They causing trouble?”

“In multiplessss.” Wyraach said as he joined in.

John’s group looked at Wyraach in shock. He does look a little more scary then the rest of us.

“Boo!” Wyraach shouted while making a scary face that showed off his fangs.

They all took a few steps back.

“Don’t mind Wyraach Ur,” Ian said as he too joined in, “He’s a little frustrated with the cheaters and he needs to work off some pent up anger. He’s just venting.”

“Don’t do that man.” Mackey said, “You almost made my mess my pants.”

Wyraach laughed as he walked off back to the tents, I guess he had his fun.

“Who was that guy?” John asked me.

“That’s Wyraach Ur, also known as werechu.” I told him, “He’s a TF writer on DA and has a fondness for blood and gore stories. He’s a nice guy once you get him to warm up to you, but now may not be the best time. Austin and Rubin have put him in a bad mood.”

“They’ll do that.” He replied, “I just hope he doesn’t go all insane and try to eat us.”

“I highly doubt that.” I said with a smirk, “He’s a good guy, he just likes to scare people and get a rise out of them. He’s not the sort of guy that I believe is capable of doing that. He’s a restrained and reserved guy, just a bit on the scary side is all.”

“If you say so Farm.” said John, “I’m just glad you’re here, all these new dragons are making me nervous.”

“Don’t worry man,” I replied, “They’re good guys, I’ve talked to them online a lot. You guys aren’t in any danger from them.”

“I still have my doubts.” John told me.

“Me too.” Jake said, “You’re the only dragon here I trust. I don’t know these guys.”

“Well then I guess you guys will have to get acquainted then.” I said with a smile.

They all loaded up and walked over to the tents where all of the airsofters were. I took my opportunity to get everyone acquainted.

“Okay John, I’d like you too meet Wyraach.” I said as I introduced them.

“It’sss good meet you.” he said with a slight smile.

“Same here.” John replied.

The two shook, hand in claw. I could tell the two of them were sizing each other up, one leader to another.

“I’m assuming Farm told you about us.” John said.

“He told me you guysss arrrre a team and I would like to tell you that so are we.” Wyraach said with a big grin.

“Really?” John said back, “I didn’t know.”

Neither did I at the time, they didn’t say anything before that point.

“We arrrre the Flying Dealerrrsss of Death, you neverrrr sssee usss coming.” Wyraach boosted.

“A dragon airsoft team, this is new.” Jake said with a laugh.

“Oh and here’s something funny,” I said as it just hit me, “Jake, meet Jake.”

I pointed toward the dark blue dragon in the back with the L96.

“So, I’m not the only Jake here,” said Jake from the Admin team, “Pleased to meet you.”

“So am I,” dragon Jake said, “If it causes too much confusion, call me NooMoahk.”

“NooMoak huh?” Jake said back, “Okay then.”

All NooMoahk did was nod and return to just watching the conversation.

Everybody got to know each other. John and Wyraach had fun talking about all the hobbies they had and how many times they were too broke to get something they really wanted. NooMoahk and Kramer got into talking about computers, I knew those two would hit it off with that. Arcade and Sparks just rambled on about anything that entered their minds. Scales and Ryan talked about heavy weapons and started to get into it when Scales showed off his minigun. Ian and Mackey were talking about something, but I can’t remember what. I think it was food, but I’m not sure. I was pushed out of the conversation like always, I’m not a talkative guy. I wondered over to Sam and she sat on the Ford’s tailgate watching the Admin team and the Flying Dealers of Death hit it off.

“I never would have thought those guys would buddy up like that?” Sam said in a half surprised, half reserved tone of voice.

“They just found people that share interests.” I replied as I sat down as well, “It doesn’t matter who or what they are, its just nice to find somebody to talk to that understands.”

“I suppose so.” Sam said as she seemed to think this over.

“Airsofters for open play to Frontier!” The ref yelled from the bridge.

“That’s our cue.” I told Sam as I got to my feet, “We wouldn’t want to keep them waiting now would we?”

“Parish the thought.” Sam said in a British accent with a smirk.

A few new kids showed up during all this, Twelve of them with rental guns and were waiting for the game to start. They were just kids, they had to be twelve. To make matters worse, they were a birthday party group. We generally call them Timmies. Its not a demeaning term, it’s just a simplification. They didn’t say much. In fact, they gave me and the other dragons as much room as they could give us. I think they were scared of us.  They parents did the same. They just eyed us warily, like at any moment we would eat their children. I guess that was just parental nature, we were big scary looking dragons. We all walked to the field and lined up near the Castle to have the teams shuffled again. This keeps thing interesting. The team captains were John and Austin for this game. True to form, Austin picked his conies first and the birthday party wanted to stay on the same team. Austin snatched them up, eager for cannon fodder. He really is a dick. The teams were Austin, Rubin, Matt, Mark, Bill, Grazel, Fridgebox, Rubin’s lackeys and the birthday kids vs. John, Ryan, Jake, Kramer, Sparks, Mackey, Sam, me, Pat, James, Will, Lucas, Jason, Mahoney, Lurch, Wyraach, Scales, NooMoahk, Arcade, Element, Zack and Fred. I could tell this was going to be bad by the line up, but I didn’t know what was really in store. We got to start at the Castle and the other team started at the Chapel.

“So, what’s the plan?” asked Kramer as he’s leaned up against the inside wall of the Castle.

“I’m going left.” Pat said while walking to the Castle’s front entrance, “You guys can do what you want to.”

“I’m with you Pat.” I said.

“And we’re with Farm.” James said as they lined up behind us. “He’s the Colonel.”

“How did you manage that Farm?” Arcade asked.

“They just kept asking me what to do and eventually they just nominated me team leader.” I replied.

“He’s the best tactician we have that can think under pressure.” Will said, “Lucas kinda doesn’t do so hot under pressure.”

“I come up with the battle plans before the bullets fly.” Lucas retorted.

“And I make them work when the bullets start flying.” I said with a draconic smile.

“A drrragon in charrrge of an airsssoft team of humansss,” Wyraach said, shaking his head, “It doesn’t seem right to me.”

“I don’t mind,” I replied, “I’m here to have fun.”

“Then lets get to it.” John said, “We’ll take the right side, Gladiators have the left and it looks like the Flying Dealers of Death have the middle.”

“It would appearrr ssso.” Wyraach said, a twisted smile appeared on his beaked muzzel. “It sssoundsss like the perrrfect ssspot to put the hurrrt on a few people.”

“It is,” Jake replied, “break them up and they fall.”

“I’ll hang in the back and provide sniper support.” NooMoahk said as he cycled the bolt on his L96.

“I’ll help.” Kramer said as he readied his M4, which is upgraded to be max range for the platform.

“Game starts in THREE, TWO, ONE, GO!” the ref yelled from the middle of the field.

We took off to the right and I broke wide to get around Pat as he ran. I was always faster then he was, but now I could really haul tail. Wyraach and the other dragons all made it to the first line of bunkers and small buildings. Scales had taken cover behind one of the log cabin buildings, he was all nestled down as low as he could without sticking his butt out the other side. He had the minigun going and I heard several Timmies screaming in fear from it. Wyraach had taken cover in a small dug out bunker in the center hill side and was firing over the top of the logs that made up the front. Arcade and Element were both crammed behind the same building till Arcade got the bright idea to climb though the window to get inside instead of using the door. It made sense because the door would have put him in direct line of fire from the enemy team’s front line, but it wasn’t a big window. He got stuck half way in and Element was trying pull him back out with one claw and hold back the enemy by firing his AUG with the other. I saw this and I ran faster to get into position to fire on the exposed left flank to take pressure off the center and right side which at that time was taking the brunt of the fire. The rhythmic clacks of automatic fire was everywhere and it was only broke up my the sound of NooMoahk’s L96 that would sound off in the chaos.

“More coming up the right!” Austin yelled.

We had been spotted but I saw him right as he said that and let a burst go. Two rounds bounced off his tac vest as I huddled down into cover behind a log cabin.

“You're mine Farm Freak!” Austin yelled.

I was so mad that he didn’t call that hit, I was ready to let him have the whole mag to the balls to insure that he would never foster children. I never got that chance though.

“I saw you get hit and I told you what would happen if you cheated again,” The ref yelled as he ran over to Austin, “You are banned, get out!”

Austin didn’t take this well and he rushed over to my cover. I heard all this but when I heard him coming right at me, I never thought he would do what he did. He wheeled around the corner and shot me point blank in the face, right in the end of my snout.

“Take this you freak!” He shouted as he continued to hold the trigger down.

The rounds bounced off my scales, but I still have a very sensitive nervous system. I can feel things hit me just as well as I could before, but some things just register differently. The constant pounding of plastic BBs at point blank range to the end of my snout was more then enough to cause a lot of pain. Pat jumped up and knocked the MP5 out of Austin’s hand and landed a punch right in Austin’s fat little face, ramming his face mask in as he did. Austin was knocked to the ground and the ref got a hold of his collar and dragged him off the field.

“Why the hell are you protecting them!” Austin screamed, “They’re freaks of nature!”

“You are banned for life from the Bing Field due to poor conduct and poor sportsmanship.” the ref said as he continued to drag him off the field.

I was in pain and still under fire from the enemy team. I wasn’t sure I was still in the fight. Austin did shoot me, but he was called out by the ref before he did. I decided I should just sit this one out, I was so angry and I didn’t want to do anything I would regret later.

“Where are you going?” Pat asked as I got up and raised my hand to indicate I was out.

“I’m just not sure I should keep going,” I replied as I walked off, “I need to sit down for a bit.”

“That was bullsh*t.” Pat grumbled, “He had no right to shoot you in the face like that.”

Pat said a few more things that I will not print here, but I’m sure you get the idea. I sat down in the dead pool and watched the game as I rubbed my aching snout. He didn’t cause any damage, but the little impacts in rapid secession was enough to make my eyes water. As I watched the battle unfold, I could see that I was not required. Pat had taken out Bill and Rubin’s lackeys. Wyraach was laying waste to the brithday party while Scales nailed both Grazel and Fridgebox. Arcade had been pried from the window and was returning fire along with Element. Arcade scored Matt and a Timmy while Ian got Mark and two Timmies. John and Pat were hammering away on Rubin and he wasn’t calling a single hit. Rubin would just wattle off a ways then turn around and fire again. The ref was looking at Rubin as he was hit and then saw him start to walk off. The second Rubin stopped, turned around and fired again, the ref was all over him.

“Do I have to watch you guys all the time so that you’ll call your hits.” The ref said as he marched up to Rubin, “You gone too.”

“I’m not hit!” Rubin shouted as he got right in the refs face.

Chris had come out of the trailers when Austin was removed to see what was going on and this got his attention right away. He threw on a face mask and bolted right for the confrontation. Rubin raised his fist to punch the ref in the face to get him to back off, but Chris grabbed a hand full of Rubin’s tac vest, tugged him around to face him and it looked like Chris almost punched Rubin’s fat head right off his shoulders with the way his head snapped back. The fat man went down and the ref and Chris dragged the unconscious man off the field. You do not mess with Chris, he’s former US Calvary and he has a reputation of being a man you do not want to get mad. I just stared in wide eyed amazement as the two of them dragged the cheating prick off the field. I must admit, with the two of them banned, the Bing Field would be a far more fun place to play.

NooMoahk was sniping just off to my right from the shade of the Castle wall. I saw him score a Timmy kill from all the way across the field, it was an amazing shot. It wasn’t long before the game was over. The ref called game and I walked off the field. As I slowly walked off the field, Austin’s and Rubin’s friends were arguing with Chris that the ban was not fair and he should be allowed to play. They all got banned as well when they started to try and curse Chris out. They really were that stupid. I just reloaded my mags that I had fired when Pat came up to me.

“You okay man?” he asked.

“I’m fine.” I said dryly.

“Come on, I can see that you’re hurting man.” he said, he wasn’t going to let this go till I told him what he wanted to know.

“I’m just glad they’re leaving.” I replied as I watched all the cheaters get into their cars and leave in a huff.

“I am too,” Pat said, “It’ll be so much more fun without them douching it up.”

“It’s a glorious day isn’t it?” John exclaimed with a smile, “Austin and Rubin both banned from the Bing Field for life. I’m glad I was here to witness it. Even better, their retarded minions also got banned to. This is great.”

“I’m happy too John.” I said with detectible resentment.

“I’m sorry for what happened to you man, I truly am.” John said as his looks change from joy to concern , “But you have to admit, it must be worth it?”

“I guess so,” I replied as I thought it over, “But tell my snout it was worth it.”

John being the weird guy he is motioned for me to lean down to him. When I did he looked right at the end of my muzzle and said,

“It was worth it.”

I couldn’t help but smile at that. John is a nice guy and is not a guy to pass up a chance to have a laugh, which he did laugh at the joke he just made. We all did, it was funny and it took my mind off the pain and onto the joy that at last we had a large group of airsofters that were honest.

“There, you feel better?” John asked.

“Yea,” I replied, still wearing a smile, “Thanks John.”

“No problem.” John said with a smile as he went off to reload.

We all got ready for the next game and now the real fun could begin. With all this A list talent and not a cheating douche bag in sight, it was about to become a very fun day of airsoft.

I'm glad to see austin, rubin and thier lackys banned. Will make for a less infuriating game now.

Also I love this line. "He had the minigun going and I heard several Timmies screaming in fear from it." All I can imagine is jsut the firing of the minigun and several high pitched screams and small kids running in random directions.

I'll think about it if you mean in the story. I'm not sure when I'll get another space for that kind of thing yet.
